Moab does have a small airport (code - CNY) and commercial flights are available here
The closest major airport is in Grand Junction, CO (code - GJT) which is approximately a 2 hour drive from Moab.
All wedding events will take place at Whispering Oaks so a car is definitely not required. We will also be coordinating activities and planning carpools between the venue and town.
We will do our best to coordinate transportation to/from the airport - just let us know how we can help!
However, if you’d like to drive to Moab or rent a car while you are here, there is plenty of parking on site!
Rental cars are available at Grand Junction airport and at various locations in Moab.
We are really excited to have found a venue that has accommodations available for all of our guests onsite!
We will be communicating with each of you directly about which specific cabin/room you will be in and pricing when you RSVP. Exact pricing varies by cabin/room, but the max is $100 per person per night and goes down from there. We also do not want the cost to keep anyone from coming. If you’d like to stay on site, but are concerned about pricing, please reach out. We’re happy to work with you.
We also understand staying onsite might not be what you want to do and that is totally okay! There are nearby AirBnBs and hotel options — we can help you find something that works for you.

We have full use of the property from 4pm on Thursday 9.17 through 11 am on Sunday 9.20 with the option to stay through Monday, 9.21.
We know that not all of you will want to stay for 4 nights and that is a-ok! We will ask that you tell us when you plan to arrive and check-out when you RSVP so we can ensure we hold enough rooms for everyone for their desired stay length.
Included in your stay is unlimited access to the 50 acre property which includes:
- 4 ponds for catch & release fishing
- Canoe & Floating Dock
- Children’s Playground & Sandbox
- Guest Laundry
- High-Speed Wireless Internet & Satellite TV
Each Cabin also has a full size kitchen and hot tub.
Additionally, we will be stocking each room with food items for essentials like coffee, breakfast items and snacks for your stay. If you want to bring additional food and drink items, there will be plenty of fridge/pantry space to accommodate those.
The fall in Moab is our favorite time to be there but there can be big temperature swings between day and night and potential for rain.
We recommend you bring both cool and warm weather clothes as well as a rain jacket or umbrella just in case.
Additionally, if you plan on adventuring hiking gear is recommended (or at least a sturdy pair of shoes and a water bottle).

For all of the pre/post wedding events, please just wear what you’re comfortable in!
For the wedding ceremony & reception, we’d love for guests to dress up with us for the occasion, while still staying comfortable. Semi-formal attire is ideal for our outdoor setting. Coats are not required although September nights in Moab can be chilly.

When you submit your RSVP we’ll ask for any dietary restrictions and make sure those are passed along to our caterer.
We have been really intentional with our guest list to keep the weekend intimate and ensure there is space for everyone to stay on site so we unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests.

We love the children in our lives and want them to be there on our big day to celebrate with us! Please just ensure you RSVP for them (they will show up on your group) and include any dietary requirements so they can eat with us!
While we also love all of your dogs, the venue does have a strict 2 dog policy for the entire property. If you need your Dog fix while you’re in town, Ruth and Buttermilk will be there and available for pets!

We understand that we are already asking a lot of each of you to take time off of work and travel to celebrate with us.
Please know that your presence is the only gift we could ask for!
So glad you asked! Wigs are encouraged for the dance floor and after party so if you got one, bring it with you.
